Funding Approach

The Tahbazof Family Foundation

Our Funding Approach

We take an innovative approach to making a difference by believing in people, community and the greater good, to support the people and non-profits at work in our communities. At the beginning of 2018, we closed online inquiries in favor of an invitation-only grant making progress. To provide insight into our approach and methodology, the most commonly asked questions are answered below.

I don’t have/my organization doesn’t have tax-exempt status. Can I still apply for funding?

Individuals or organizations that do not have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status cannot apply for funding.

How Do You Fund?

As of the beginning of 2018, we have closed our online inquiry system, and we have moved to an invitation-only grant-making process.

Do you have a geographic focus?

We do not have any geographic restrictions.

Do you offer multi-year grants?

We invite a small number of multi-year grant proposals based on long-term relationships with our grant partners. If we have not made a series of renewal grants to your institution already, you are not a candidate for a multi-year grant from us.

How do you determine which charities to fund?

Tahbazof Family Foundation supports work in medical field, arts and sciences, education and environment. We value projects that focus on providing support, resources, homes, shelters and education to underprivileged children.

Where do you obtain your grant funding?

We are funded entirely through our own real estate development and management businesses. Please see our Funding Sources page for more information on our sister entities.
